[Classes 20 (ii) and 20 (iv)] Sheet metal members, such as rafters, floor and ceiling joists and corner posts and uprights and horizontals of wall frames, have grooves. d', Fig. 2, of partcircular cross-section which are filled with material d<4> or round section into which nails b can be driven. The members may be rectangular, triangular, or of T-, H-, or L- section or tubular as shown in Fig. 7. The material may be wood or fibres or rope treated with bonding material such as oil mixed with resin or other gum. When flexible material is used it is incorporated in the grooves during the rolling or pressing of the members. The webs of the sections may have holes formed at intervals for the connection. thereto, by means of cleats of other sections. Specification 560,461 is referred to.
