Abstract

A folded section girder in the form of a `C' with sides (11,12A,12B) has a longitudinal circular groove (14) with a depth greater than its opening. Into this groove can be inserted the circular head (24) of the coupling (23) whilst horizontal, then locked in position by a quarter turn. In the claims, various folded sections are mentioned. Metallurgy - These sections are folded from sheet steel less than 1mm. thick.

Description

"Grooved profile (s) for fitting at least one accessory"
The present invention relates generally to the profiles used in construction.

 By definition, these profiles have at least one wall.

 For example, they may comprise, along a cross section of the C type, three walls, namely a central core and two lateral wings.

 As a variant, they can also have three walls, namely, as before, a central core and two lateral wings, but in a cross section of the inverted U type.

 Other types of cross section can also be envisaged.

 The present invention relates more particularly, but not necessarily exclusively, to the case where these sections are made of sheet metal of relatively small thickness, by folding the latter.

 Most often, their thickness is less than 1 mm, for example being close to 0.6 mm.

 The profiles having such a thickness have in particular the advantage of making it possible to ensure therein in a very simple and rapid manner any fastenings, of the type of those which it is necessary to practice there in order to subject any accessories thereto, such as, for example. example, lines or connecting members.

 Indeed, these attachments can advantageously be done very quickly, using simple self-tapping screws, without any other specific preparation.

 However, it is now envisaged to give these sections a greater thickness, in order to improve their bearing capacity.

 The fasteners then become difficult, even though it remains necessary to be able to subject the profiles to any accessories.

 The present invention generally relates to a provision for overcoming this difficulty.

 More specifically, it relates to a profile of the kind comprising at least one wall, this profile being generally characterized in that, by at least one deformation affecting its entire thickness, this wall forms, longitudinally, at least one groove having transversely a width greater than the width of its outlet.

 For example, this groove has a cross section whose profile is generally circular.

 Alternatively, the profile of its cross section is generally T-shaped.

 Anyway, such a groove, which has just folded with the whole of the profile, and the production of which is therefore economically part of the very manufacturing process thereof, advantageously allows, if desired, to subject, without screwing, to the profile, any accessory.

 For example, and this is the case with a groove whose cross section has a circular profile, the fixing of such an accessory can very simply imply an elastic deformation of a part of this accessory.

 Alternatively, and this is the case with a groove whose cross section has a T-profile, this fixing can very simply result from a mounting of the quarter-turn mounting type.

 Anyway, the implementation of accessories no longer necessarily involving screwing, it is advantageously possible to increase the thickness of the profile while offering those interested a set of accessories which are advantageously capable of being put in place quickly on this one.

 An advantageous compromise is thus found between an increase in the thickness of the profile and the maintenance of easy installation of any accessories thereon.

 Preferably, however, the thickness of the profile according to the invention remains moderate, for example being between 1 and 2 mm, so that, if necessary, a screwing remains possible, even after a preparatory operation, such as, for example, performing a drilling or pre-drilling.

 Furthermore, the arrangement according to the invention advantageously makes it possible to extend the field of application of profiles of the type concerned to profiles which, for example, can serve as rafters in the construction of a metal frame, by providing for a first level, a groove making it possible to fix there hanging lugs on which can in turn be attached, for example by snap-fastening, furring strips forming, and, at a second level, lower than the previous one, a groove making it possible to For example, attach lines to which can be harnessed furs suitable for constituting the support frame of any coating.

 As illustrated in these figures, and in a manner known per se, the profile 10 according to the invention comprises at least one wall 11, 12A, 12B.

 According to the invention, by at least one deformation affecting its entire thickness, this wall 11, i 2A, 12B forms, longitudinally, at least one groove 14 having transversely a width L1 greater than the width L2 of its outlet 15.

 In the embodiment more particularly shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the profile 10 comprises, along a cross section of the C type, three walls il, i 2A, 12B, namely, a wall il forming a central core, and , generally perpendicular thereto, two walls 12A, 12B forming two lateral wings, with, on the wall 11 forming the central core, at least one groove 14.

 In addition, in this embodiment, the two walls 12A, 12B each have, along their free edge, a return square 16, and the length of one, measured internally, is greater than the length of the other, measured externally, with, longitudinally, on the wall 11, starting from the edge by which the narrower wall 12A, 12B, in this case the wall 12A, is connected to this wall 11, a clearance 18 of which the width and the depth correspond at least to the width and the thickness of the square return 16 of the widest wall 12A, 12B, in this case the wall 12B.

 Two sections 10 can thus be fitted head to tail, as shown in FIG. 12 for another embodiment.

 In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the wall 11 forming the central core comprises, in its median zone, a groove 20 with a trapezoidal transverse profile, the small base 21 of which is situated substantially at mid-width for the walls 12A, 12B forming the lateral wings.

 As already indicated above, this wall 11 also comprises at least one groove 14.

 For example, and as shown, this wall 11 comprises, at a distance from one another, and parallel to one another, two grooves 14, which, in practice, are each arranged respectively on one side and on the other. other of groove 20.

Thus, the profile 10 has a groove 14 at two different levels,
One superior, the other inferior.

 In the embodiment shown, the grooves 14 formed by the wall 11 have a cross section whose profile is generally circular.

 Preferably, and this is the case in this embodiment, this profile is the same for both of the grooves 14.

 Let R1, measured internally, be the radius of this profile, Figure 4.

 In the embodiment shown, the grooves 14 of the wall 11 forming the central core are both open towards the outside, that is to say on the side of this wall 11 opposite the walls i 2A 12B forming the side wings.

 Because the opening 15 of the grooves 14 has a width L2 less than their own width L1, these widths L2 and L1 being appreciated internally, and the width L1 being in practice equal to twice the radius R1 of the corresponding profile, the cross section of the profile 10 has, in line with each of these grooves 14, an omega-like appearance, as can be seen in FIG. 4 for one of these grooves 14.

 In the embodiment shown, only the wall 11 forming the central core has grooves i 4.

 On the other hand, the walls 12A, 12B forming the lateral wings are planar.

 According to the invention, there is associated, with the profile i 0, at least one accessory 23 comprising, overall, at least one interior part 24, which is suitable for being engaged in a groove 14 which one of its walls has, 12A, 12B, in this case its wall 11, and an external part 25 integral with this internal part 24.

 In the embodiment more particularly shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the external part 25 of this accessory 23 is in one piece with its internal part 24, it extends only on one side thereof and it forms, overall, a higher slope comprising a rod 26 and a head 27 with, back to back on its lateral edges, at the limit between the rod 26 and the head 27, two slots 28.

 Preferably, and this is the case in the embodiment shown, the inner part 24 of the accessory 23 is elastically deformable, and it has a cross section whose profile is at least locally complementary to that of a groove 14 of the profile. i 0.

 Let R2 be the radius of this profile, measured externally, Figure 2.

 In practice, this radius R2 is greater than the radius R1 of a groove 14 in the profile 10.

 But, jointly, the width L3 of the internal part 24 of the accessory 23, measured externally, perpendicular to the external part 25, FIG. 3A, is less than the width L2 of the opening 15 of a groove 14.

 Thus, when the accessory 23 is presented in line with such a groove 14, perpendicular to the relevant wall 11 of the profile 10, as shown in FIG. 3A, it can be engaged by its internal part 24 in this groove 14, as shown schematically by an arrow F1 in this FIG. 3A.

 It then suffices to fold down, in practice downwards, as shown diagrammatically by an arrow F2 in FIGS. 3B and 3C, the external part 25 of the accessory 23, by pivoting its internal part 24 in the groove 14, until, as shown in FIG. 3C, this outer part 25 is pressed against the wall 11 of the profile 10.

 At the same time, having regard to the dimensional arrangements adopted, the inner part 24 of the accessory 23 is then placed under elastic stress by the groove 14 in which it is engaged, and the accessory 23 is therefore duly subject to the profile 10.

 The accessory 23 is all the less likely to be able to inadvertently escape from the profile 10 that its outer part 25, which constitutes its active part, then extends transversely relative to the groove 14, and that it is thus led to work in shear with respect to this groove 14 and not in tear with respect to the latter.

In practice, the dimensional arrangements adopted are also such that, for the operating position of the accessory 23 shown in FIG. 3C, the head 27 of the hanger formed by its outer part 25 extends beyond the profile 10, projecting from the lower wall 12B thereof,
It is therefore possible to add, if desired, to this head 27, any suitable fur, not shown.

 In the variant embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the outer part 25 of the accessory 23 comprises, along the free edge of the head 27 of the hanger which it forms, a return square 33, which, provided with a bore 34, by itself constitutes a fixing lug.

 In the variant embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the hanger formed by the outer part 25 of the accessory 23 comprises, laterally, over at least part of its height, and, more precisely, over at least part of the height of its rod 26, along at least one of its edges, a square return 35 on which protrudes, in console, outwards, flush with the rod 26, a foldable tongue 36.

 For example, and as shown, a square return 35 is thus provided, with a tongue 36, on each of the edges of the external part 25 of the accessory 23.

 After the latter has been placed on the profile 10 according to the process described above, it suffices to bring the tongues 36 to be located in the extension of the angle returns 35, as shown diagrammatically in broken lines in FIG. 6, by folding these tabs 36 around their root, according to the arrows F3 in this FIG. 6.

 The accessory 23 is then locked in pivoting on the profile 10, the tongues 36 bearing on this profile 10 beyond its inner part 24.

 In the alternative embodiment shown in Figure 7, the outer part 25 of the accessory 23 extends, in omega, on either side of the inner part 24, and it comprises, projecting, two gripping tabs 38, which, themselves arranged respectively on either side of the inner part 24, are capable of allowing it to be pinched.

 For example, and as shown, these tabs 38 extend obliquely to the hanger formed by the outer part 25 of the accessory 23, generally forming a V therebetween.

 In practice, that of these tongues 38 which thus projects from the rod 26 of the hanger formed by the outer part 25 of the accessory 23 comes from a puncture 39 of the latter.

 Anyway, to set up the accessory 23 on the profile 10, simply take this accessory 23 with one hand, grasping it by its gripping tabs 38, and, while bringing one on the other, these gripping tabs 38, which temporarily decreases, by simple elastic deformation, the radius R2 of its inner part 24, of engaging it, by this inner part 24, in the groove 14 to be fitted with the profile 10, then release it.

 Returning to its initial configuration, the inner part 24 of the accessory 23 ensures, as previously, the maintenance of the latter on the profile 10.

 In the variant embodiments shown in FIGS. 8 to 10, the profile 10 according to the invention comprises, as before, three walls 11, 12A, 12B, namely a wall 11 forming a central core and two walls 12A 12B forming two lateral wings, but in a cross section which is generally of the inverted U-shaped type, with, on at least one of the walls 12A, 12B forming lateral wings, at least one groove 14, which, as before, results from a deformation affecting its entire thickness.

 Also as before, the groove 14 has, transversely, a width L1 greater than the width L2 of its outlet 15.

 In the embodiments shown, the two walls 12A, 12B forming the lateral wings of the profile 10 each have at least one groove 14, and, as before, this groove 14 has a cross section whose profile is generally circular.

 In the embodiment more particularly shown in FIG. 8, the two walls i 2A, 12B forming the lateral wings of the profile 10 each have only one groove 14, this extends near the wall 11 forming the 'central core, and it is a groove 14 open to the outside.

 From one wall 12A, 12B to the other, the groove 14 intervenes at the same level.

 Furthermore, in this embodiment, the walls 12A, 12B forming the lateral wings of the profile 10 have the same height, and they each comprise, along their free edge, a square return 40 directed outwards.

 As before, there is associated, with the profile 10, at least one accessory 42 comprising, overall, at least one internal part 24, which is suitable for being engaged in a groove 14, and an external part 25, which is integral with this part interior 24, being, for example, in one piece with it, as shown, or which is capable of being secured to it.

 According to arrangements of the type described above, the inner part 24 is elastically deformable and has a cross section whose profile is, at least locally, complementary to that of a groove 14.

 The outer part 25 forms a hooking tab which, in the embodiment shown, comprises, successively, from the inner part 24, three sides, namely, a first panel 43, by which it is able to apply to the wall 12A, 12B concerned of the section 10, a second panel 44, which extends perpendicular to the first panel 43, and whose length is substantially equal to half the width of the wall 11 forming the central core of the profile 10, and a third panel 45, which extends perpendicular to the second panel 44, on the side thereof opposite the first panel 43, and which, according to the arrangements described above, forms a hanger, with a rod 26 and a head 27.

 It follows from the above that two accessories 42, each placed respectively on the two walls 12A, 12B forming the lateral wings of the profile 10, come to lean against each other by the third part 45 of their part outer 25, then forming, jointly, by the latter, the same hanger.

 These two accessories 42 can therefore be secured to one another, using, for example, screws 46, according to usual provisions in the matter, and, also according to usual provisions in the matter, they can receive, jointly, by snap-fastening, through the head 27 of the hanger they form, a fur 48 whose profile is adapted for this purpose.

 Due to its configuration, the profile 10 can then serve as a rafter for the construction of a frame, the furs 48 capable of being attached to it by accessories 42 jointly forming the battens suitable for receiving the corresponding covering elements, not shown.

 It is the same in the variant embodiment shown in FIG. 9, in which the two accessories 42 are shown duly assembled to each other by screws 46.

 However, according to this alternative embodiment, the two walls 12A, 128 forming the lateral wings of the profile 10, each have, at a distance from one another, and parallel to each other, two grooves 14, I one near the wall 11 forming the central core, the other at a distance from this wall 11.

 From one of the walls 12A, 12B to the other, the grooves 14 extend at the same level.

 For each of the walls 12A, 12B, one of the grooves 14 is open, as before, towards the outside, and, as before, it is the groove 14 close to the wall 11.

 Jointly, for each of the two walls 12A, 12B, the other groove 14 is open towards the inside.

 The grooves 14 of the upper level can be used for the establishment, and therefore the fixing, of accessories 42 of the type described above, that is to say of accessories forming tabs of attachment by their external part 25.

 The grooves i 4 of the lower level can, as a corollary, be used for the installation, and therefore the fixing, of accessories 23 of the type described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 7, that is to say of accessories forming lines by their outer part 25.

 In the embodiment shown, the side walls 12A, 12B of the profile 10 are devoid of a right angle along their free edge, and the dimensional arrangements adopted are such that the head 27 which comprises the hanger formed by the outer part 25 of an accessory 23 extends widely beyond this free edge when this accessory 23 is duly in place in the corresponding groove 14.

 In the embodiment shown, the section 10 thus comprises, successively, from the wall 11 forming its central core, two parts, namely, a first part 1 or, or upper part, which is devoid of any groove 14 , and a second part 1 or, or lower part, whose width L4 is greater than that L5 of the first part iOA.

 This allows, if desired, a profile 10, as shown for an alternative embodiment in Figure 10, to be superimposed on another profile 10, by fitting, by its lower part 10B, on the upper part 10A thereof.

 Both for the embodiment shown in FIG. 9 and for that shown in FIG. 10, each of the walls 12A, 12B forming the lateral wings of the profile 10 forms a groove 14 at the junction between its part i OA upper and its part 1 OB lower.

 It is the upper level groove 14 in the embodiment of FIG. 9.

 However, in the variant embodiment of FIG. 10, the profile 10 only has this groove 14 of the upper level.

 In other words, it does not have a groove 14 near the free edge of its walls i 2A, 12B.

 Anyway, in either case, the sections 10, thus superimposed, can be secured to each other using screws 50 if desired, as shown in Figure 10 .

 In the variant embodiments shown in FIGS. 11 to 13, the profile 10 is of the same type as that shown in FIGS. 1 to 3.

 But, instead of having a trapezoidal profile, the cross section of its rib 20 has, overall, a T-profile.

 In Figure 12, several different types of accessories are shown as examples.

 There is, in particular, an accessory 23 of the type of those described with reference to FIGS. I to 7.

 This accessory 23 comes into play by means of a lower level groove 14, for hooking, by snap-fastening, a fur 48 to the head 27 of the hanger formed by its outer part 25.

 There is also an accessory 53, in the form of an angle iron, which intervenes by means of a groove 14 of higher level, and which ensures the connection to one another of two profiles 10, or, more precisely, in the embodiment shown, of two sets of sections 10 each formed of two sections 10 nested one inside the other.

 There is, finally, an accessory 54, which intervenes in favor of a groove 14 of lower level, and the external part 25 of which itself forms a profile.

 The arrangement according to the invention thus makes it possible to suspend such a profile from a profile 10.

 In the alternative embodiment of FIG. 3, the wall 11 forming the central core of the profile 10 forms, longitudinally, as previously, by at least one deformation affecting its entire thickness, at least one groove 14 'having transversely a width L1 greater than the width L2 of its outlet 15.

 However, unlike the groove or grooves 14 of the preceding sections 10, this groove i 4 ′ has a cross section whose profile is generally T-shaped.

 It is thus possible to attach, to the profile 10, by means of this groove 14 ', any accessory, not shown, according to an assembly which is similar to an assembly of the quarter-turn type.

 In the embodiment shown, only one rib 14 ′ is provided, and it occupies most of the wall 11 of the profile 10, instead of the rib 20 of the profiles 10 shown in FIGS. 1 to 12.

 Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown, but encompasses any variant and / or combination of their various elements.

Claims (18)

 1. Profile of the type comprising at least one wall, characterized in that, by at least one deformation affecting its entire thickness, this wall (11, 12A, 12B) forms, longitudinally, at least one groove (14, 14 ' ) having transversely a width (L1) greater than the width (L2) of its outlet (15).  2. Profile according to claim i, characterized in that the groove (14) that forms its wall (11, 12A, 12B) to a cross section whose profile is generally circular.  3. Profile according to any one of claims 1, 2, characterized in that, according to a cross section of the C type, it has three walls (11, 12A, 12B), namely, a wall (11) forming a central core, and two walls (12A, 12B) forming two lateral wings, with, on the wall (11) forming the central core, at least one groove (14).  4. Profile according to claim 3, characterized in that the groove (14) of the wall (11) i) forming the central core is open on the side opposite to the walls (12A, 12B) forming the lateral wings.  5. Profile according to any one of claims 3, 4, characterized in that the wall (11) forming the central core comprises, at a distance from one another, and parallel to one another, two grooves (14). 4).  6. Profile according to any one of claims 1, 2, characterized in that, according to a cross section of the inverted U type, it has three walls (11, 12A, 12B), namely a wall (11) forming a central core and two walls (12A, 12B) forming two lateral wings, with, on at least one of the walls (12A, 12B) forming the lateral wings, at least one groove (14).  7. Profile according to claim 6, characterized in that the two walls (12A, 12B) forming the lateral wings, each have at least one groove (14).  8. Profile according to any one of claims 13, 14 characterized in that the external part (25) of the accessory (23) extends on either side of its internal part (24) and it comprises, projecting, two gripping tabs (38), which, each arranged respectively on either side of this inner part (24), are adapted to allow pinching thereof.  17. Profile according to any one of claims 13 to 16, characterized in that the outer part (25) of the accessory (23) forms a hanger.  18. Profile according to claim 17, characterized in that the hanger that forms the outer part (25) of the accessory (23) comprises, laterally, along at least one of its edges, a return square ( 35) on which protrudes, in console, a foldable tongue (36).  19. Profile according to any one of claims 13 to 16, characterized in that the outer part (25) of the accessory (54) itself forms a profile.  20. Profile according to claim 1, characterized in that the groove (14 ') that forms its wall (11, 12A, 12B) has a cross section whose profile is generally T-shaped.
