581,386. Storing gases under pressure. GRAVINER MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and MATHISEN, A. April 20, 1944, No. 7299. [Class 8 (ii)] (Also in Group XXI] In means for closing, and facilitating the opening of, the outlets of fluid containers such as fire - extinguishers, comprising a tubular portion 8 having its upper end closed by a stem 9 on an upper portibn 12 joined thereto by a frangible neck portion as described in Specification No. 520,366, the stem 9 is raised clear of the bore 10 by a spring 27 when the neck portion is broken by operation of a screw 24. The screw is provided with a flange 26 which engages under a ring 15 screwed into the upper end of the portion 12, and the spring 27 is housed within the ring to bear against the flange 26 and the upper end of the ring 15.
