Abstract
580,223. Clearing water traps. HAVRENIUS, H. June 21, 1944, No. 11759. [Class 33] [Also in Groups VIII and XXVIII] In a water trap for drain pipes, part or the whole of the walls of the trap are made of elastic material which can be temporarily deformed by hand pressure so as to break up clogging dirt deposits. The elastic material may be flexible metal tubes or sheet metal, or rubber, e.g., a multi-ply material with an inner wall of rubber or synthetic resin which is resistant to corrosive or abrasive substances, and one or more outer plies of canvas or wire netting embedded in rubber. The Figures show three forms of trap in which the sectioned parts are of rigid material and the remainder elastic, Fig. 6 indicating the temporarily deformed condition.
