Abstract
579,926. Alloys. CLIMAX MOLYBDENUM CO. April 21, 1942, No. 5352. Convention date, March 6, 1941. [Class 82 (i)] Iron alloys containing titanium and silicon are made by adding to a molten ferrous bath one or more preformed titanium silicides, with or without excess silicon, and with or without other alloying ingredients such as molybdenum which may be in the form of ferro-molybdenum or calcium molybdate. The addition may be part of the furnace charge or may be made in a ladle.
