[Class 123 (iii)] A device for separating liquids from gases or vapours, and especially oil or water from steam, comprises a vertical cylindrical casing A having an aperture a above the centre line, a co-axial tube B extending in front of the aperture, and one or more slots b in the tube, on the side remote from the aperture and extending from near the top of the cylinder to a point about level with the top of the aperture. Vapour may be passed into the device either through the aperture a or the tube B, and liquid is removed at a<1>.
