578,894. Building blocks; walls. TITMUSS, M. R. April 4, 1944, No. 6252. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] [Also in Group XV] A building block is provided on its upper and lower faces with projections 2, 3 and recesses 4, 5 which are wedge-shaped in plan. Parallel-sided projections 6 and a wedge-shaped projection 7 are provided on the ends of the blocks. Conduits 29 may be provided for ventilation, electric wires, or gas or water pipes and may be lined with perforated metal or have pipes cast therein. Half-blocks, corner blocks, and blocks having rearward projections to engage with partition walls are described. Blocks for the lowest course have flat under-surfaces. The blocks may be made of wood, metal or plastic material and used as toys.
