[Class 81 (ii)] An ultra-violet lamp has a trough-shaped reflector 2 closed at the ends, in which the bulb 8 is fitted in terminal clips 10, 12 attached to a channel-shaped member 96 which contains the connections 18. The high-voltage supply unit, comprising a thermionic tube 52, inductance coil 54, condenser 56 &c. is housed in a tube 4 attached to the back of the reflector and forming a handle for it. A timing switch 114 with control knob 116 is housed in a compartment in the upper end of the reflector.
