Abstract

573,038. Roofs. CLARK, C. Oct. 13, 1943, No. 16835. [Class 20 (iv)] A roof construction comprises rectangular precast units d rising from their edges to their centres and having drip flanges e projecting into gutters formed by channels c in supporting cast beam or like members b which cross one another to provide support at all edges of the units. The units are preferably composed of precast asbestos cement or the like covered with zinc or other rust proof metal and provided with a projecting heel piece h to engage the edge of the beam, but they may be made of synthetic plastic material having the drip flange e integrally formed. The gutters communicate with down passages k which may be cast in the pillars and may have perforated covers i with inclined serrated edges engaging the panels.
