Abstract

572,477. Snap-action switches ; contacts. HOPE, V. Oct. 28, 1943, No. 17779. [Class 38 (v)] In switch fuses and other switches provided with spring-pressed abutting contacts to ensure easy and accurate engagement with the fixed contacts, the moving contact-carrier carries two contacts 11, 12 each consisting of a blade 18 which slides with limited universal movement, against the action of a spring 22, in a hole in the carrier, and a contacting portion with an arcuate contact face. In the form shown the contacting portion consists of two cadmiumplated discs 19 fixed on either side of the blade 18 and the latter terminates in a strap 17 embracing the cartridge fuse 13.
