Switches; secret contact-combinations. - Consists in a modification of the contact arrangements of the switch described in the parent Specification whereby a circuit is closed across at least one of a number of parallel paths at all positions except that in which the correct combination is arranged. As shown in Fig. 1, the switch comprises two insulating-discs 6, 11 arranged to turn about the fixed contact spindle 1 between fixed discs 2, 15. A contact disc 3 integral with the spindle is fixed on the inner face of the disc 2 and is engaged by a contact plunger 10 (located in any one of a number of holes 9) except at one point 5 of the circle where the disc is cut away. The spring of the plunger 10 contacts with a washer 7 engaged by a contact plunger 17, located in any one of a number of holes in the disc 11. The other end of the plunger engages at all points of the circle with a contact washer 14 which is connected to the circuit terminal 18 and to the spindle 1 at all points of the circle but one by a contact plunger 13, through the washer 12. In all positions but one of the disc 9, a circuit is complete from the spindle 1, through the disc 3, plungers 10, 17, and washer 14, to the terminal 18. In the position referred to, a parallel circuit is completed also from the spindle 1 through washer 12, contact plunger 13 and washer 14 to the terminal 18 in all positions except one of the disc 11 so that a circuit is complete through one or both paths except when the proper combination has been set. More than two combination discs may be used.
