[Class 38 (v)] A tumbler switch has one member e of the spring-toggle, together with the spring d, housed in a bore c in the cylindrical body b of the dolly. The second member g is of stripform and pivoted at f to the enlarged plungerlike part of e and at j in a V-shaped depression h, h<1> in the base i. Lateral wings g<1> engaging the well of the base i and surfaces g<2> at the ends of the slot c<1> in which g works, provide stops for the parts in their extreme positions. The trunnions k of the dolly engage seatings l<3> therein and in plates l having feet for attachment to terminals on the base. The trunnions k are mounted on L-shaped movable contacts x, the ends of which are turned into recesses b<2> on the dolly for co-operating with fixed contacts n, the latter being separated by a rib on the base, in which rib the depression h and slot-like extensions h<1> thereof are formed. A cam m provides a two-stage separating gap as in Specification 529,966.
