[Class 64 (i)] [Also in Group XII] Checker bricks for use in regenerators, carburettors or superheaters are formed with a rectangular section a, b, at each end, a middle section c which is square in plan, and streamlined sections d, e between sections a, c and b, c. The bricks are stacked with alternate rows A, B at right angles and arranged so that the square section c of each brick B covers the end sections a, b of two abutting bricks.
