[Class 38 (iv)] Voltage.-In stabilizing circuits wherein a thermionic valve 13 employed to maintain the voltage of a load circuit independent of changes in supply voltage and load and in which an adjustable resistance having a scale calibrated in volts, determines the voltage of the load circuit, means are provided to correct for any lack of correspondence between the stabilized voltage and the scale reading, such as may occur due to a change in the voltage of a bias battery or in the reference voltage provided by a neon tube ; where, as in Specification 552,822, a calibrated resistance R4. arranged in a bridge connection with resistances R], R2, R3, R5, may be varied to adjust the load circuit voltage VO, the bias battery a is connected to the tapping of a potentiometer c of comparatively low resistance arranged between the resistances R4, R5.
