Abstract

567,742. Letter sheets. SMITH, T. W. P. Dec. 6. 1943, No. 20360. [Class 146 (ii)] A combined letter-sheet and envelope, which is adapted to be closed by means of tongues and slits, has inclined slits C<1>, C<2>, Fig. 1, in one part C, the slit C<2> being at or near one edge of the sheet, when folded, in order to receive the square corner of the tuck-in part A, and the slot C<1> being at some distance from the opposite edge, to receive a tab formed by an inclined cut a' in the part A. The sheet has a side portion D, which is turned over on to the body, after which the part C is folded on to the part B, as shown in Fig. 3. The corners of the tab formed by the cut a<1> may be rounded. Notches may be cut in the edges of the sheet to serve as guides in folding. Specification 534,588 is referred to.
