[Class 20 (iii)] In a windowoperating mechanism, particularly for road vehicles actuated by a piston and cylinder mechanism energized from the intake manifold of the vehicle with means normally to prevent manual actuation, in order to permit manual actuation when necessary, the bell-crank connecting the window 1 to the piston-rod 18 is made in two separate parts 3, 10 normally connected together by a spring-actuated detent mechanism but disconnectible by actuation of an adjustable remote control. The remote control comprises a shaft 33 rotated by depression of a button 35, the other end of the shaft engaging beneath one of the members of the mechanism connecting the parts 3 and 10 together.
