Abstract

562,680. Battery lamps. PLATERS & STAMPERS, Ltd. (Katzinger Co., E.). Sept. 8, 1942, No. 12652. [Class 39 (ii)] A flashlight switch comprises an operating member 1 a flanged portion 12 of which is divided to form spaced arms 13 adapted to pass through guiding slots 14 in the flashlight casing. The inner ends 15 of the arms are bent towards each other and provide between them and the inner surface of the casing 10 a passage fitting the shank of a contact member 16 which can be inserted from the open end of the flashlight casing until projections 18 on the contact member engage one side of the arms 13 whereupon spring tongues 20 snap into position against the other side. A hole or recess 23 in the shank may engage a projection 24 in the casing to define the retracted switch position.
