Abstract
560,474. Gauges. PARKER, S. J. Oct. 3, 1942, No. 13902. [Class 106 (ii)] In a depth gauge having a rule 4 slidable in a channel 3 formed in a body part 1, means are provided for retaining the rule in selected positions, the means comprising a set screw 9 threaded into a bore in the body part, a pressure block or clamping member 12 of brass or other metal or alloy, and a rubber paid or cushion 13 interposed between the set screw and the block. The body part 1 carries a vernier plate 5 and has bridge plates 7 to hold the rule 4 in the channel 3.
