Abstract
560,064. Drying foundry moulds and cores. NEUSTADIER, D. Oct. 23, 1942, No. 14908. [Classes 34 (ii) and 64 (i)] [Also in Group XII] A stove for dry ing foundry moulds and cores or for other analagous purposes, comprises a chamber c for articles to be treated, a combus tion chamber b burning solid liquid or gaseous fuel situated adja cent one side of the chamber a and provided with one or more openings g for the passage of radiant heat from the combustion chamber b to the chamber a and a mixing-chamber f in which gases from the combustion chamber are mixed with air or with gases returned from the chamber a before being supplied to the chamber a. A fan m draws gases from the chamber a through openings such as j and flues k and delivers them through an inlet to the mixing-chamberf where they induce gases from the combustion chamber and deliver them through .opening i to the chamber a. The fan may supply fresh air through the inlet h.
