[Class 9 (ii)] The pivot pin 34, which takes the upward thrust transmitted by the bomb 12 through the pivoted bombsupporting member 21 can be removed manually when the main remotely-controlled electromagnet-operated release mechanism 39 fails. The pin forms part of a quick-screw-threaded member 35 having a handlever 42. one complete turn of which withdraws the pin. Specifications 559,724 and 559,894 are referred to.
