[Class 2 (iii)] In the recovery of olefine oxides from gaseous reaction mixtures containing them, a part of the olefine oxide is absorbed as such in a solvent such as water under conditions to avoid hydrolysis, and the remainder is adsorbed in active carbon. The dissolved oxide may be recovered by treating the solution with steam.
