[Class 2 (iii)] In the recovery of olefine oxides from gases containing them the gases are first treated with a solvent such as water in such quantity and for such time as to absorb a part only of the oxide, such as 70 to 80 per cent. and then with water containing a hydration catalyst such as sulphuric acid to recover the remainder as glycol.
