558,769. Stud fastenings. ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS, and EVERY, C. E. June 11, 1942, No. 20648/43. Divided out of 558,744. [Class 44] The invention, which is described as applied to a fastening of the type described in Specification 558,744 in which the cross-pin 32 of a rotatable stud 12 mounted on a panel 40 engages by rotation with cam surfaces formed on a resilient member 16 overlying and spaced from a base-plate 52 secured to a supporting frame 34, provides a spring to eject the stud when it is rotated to release position. As shown, the spring is in the form of a blade 48 integral with the resilient member 16 which bears against the inner end of the stud and, in the fastened position, holds the pin 32 seated in recesses in the cam surfaces to retain the stud against accidental release.
