558,545. Corve axle-boxes. COOK & SONS (SHEFFIELD), Ltd., W., ELLIOTT, T. H., COLLINS, W. C., and COOK, A. H. Jan. 1, 1943, No. 25. [Class 12 (i)] A corve axle-box is provided with a bearing 11 of constant surface and lubricant channels 10 leading from an upper grease reservoir 8 to pockets 9 in the pedestal bracket, the channels being at the side of the bearing so that no hole is formed in the bearing. The channels 10 have arcuate sides flared towards each end. The spectacle 1 is retained in its holes 6 by split pins 4 entering recesses 7 in the spectacle and holes 5 in the bracket 3.
