Abstract

558,321. Looms. PILLING, T. June 23, 1942, No. 8578. [Class 142 (i)] A weft fork stop motion employing a centre weft fork is provided with a supplementary slide C let into the main slide B and formed with a stop catch C<SP>1</SP> to engage a catch arm d on the pivoted weft fork. The slide C is connected with the main slide B by a spring c<SP>2</SP>, and the amount of its movement in the main slide is determined by a pin-and-sl@ connection. In operation, absence of the weft causes the catch arm d to engage the catch C<SP>1</SP> and stop the supplementary slide, while the main slide continues to move for its full distance determined by stops. The main slide B moves in the weft fork bracket A. and one of the guiding surfaces for the slide is detachable to facilitate removal of the main slide together with the supplementary slide.
