[Class 38 (v)] In a contact member having a part in a metallic housing, contact between the two is effected through metallic blocks slidably pressed against the housing under spring pressure, one of the two main contacts having its surface serrated. In the example shown, a metal housing 2 connected in the circuit encloses a roller contact 3 pressed forward by triangular blocks 8 upon the ends of which bears a spring pressed plate 6. Either the wheel 3 or its co-acting contact 1 has a serrated surface, the other being plain. The outer surfaces of the blocks 8 may be serrated.
