565,856. Switch contacts. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and. MADDOCK, A. J. May 26, 1943, No. 8453. Addition to 558,169. [Class 38 (v)] A circular contact 3, as in the parent Specification, has a part of reduced section as at (d) upon which the triangular blocks 8 bear so as to reduce the frictional moment about the axis of the contact 3 and ensure that rotation occurs on engagement with the main contact 1. The reduced part may be central, as shown; or on the two sides of the circular contact 3. The abutting surfaces of the contact 3, blocks 8 and contact 1 may be knurled, serrated or otherwise roughened.
