557,660. Fastenings for windows. LUNDHOLM, J. E. Oct. 20, 1942, No. 14720. [Class 44] Double windows are secured by one or more stud fastenings 4 and a lever 9 pivoted on a pin 16 between the two windows 1, 2, and provided at the lower end with a hook 11 sliding in a curved slot in a plate 15 fixed to the window 2. The hook has cam surfaces 2 which, when the lever is pulled in one direction, draw the two windows together or forces the studs 25 on 2 into their sockets 26 in 1. When it is pulled in the opposite direction, it cams the windows apart and draws the studs from their sockets. The studs are carried by dished plates 38 fitted with covers 39, and the sockets are carried by dished plates 27 provided with covers 33. Springs 23, 29 engage necks on the studs.
