557,376. Hypodermic syringes. EVERETT, S. J. May 15, 1942, No. 6646. [Class 81 (ii)] A liquid-tight joint for the nozzle 1 of an hypodermic or other medical syringe is obtained by pushing a member having a hard internally conical surface into position on an externally conical member of hard material, one of the members being formed with a continuous screw thread 3 the convalutions of which are joined by webs 4 which either provide a second screw thread of coarser pitch than the first or form a series of rings intersecting them ; the webs prevent liquid from running along the thread and escaping between the two members.
