556,289. Model aircraft. POLLITT, C. A. H. June 3, 1942, No. 7515. [Class 4] [Also in Groups XXIV and XV] A universal joint capable of connecting two shafts at an angle of about 90 degrees which consists of two spindles or wires with their ends formed as circular hoops which interlace one with the other is embodied in the driving mechanism of a model aircraft. The propeller spindle A and the spindle D connected to the elastic motor, are formed at their other ends as circular hoops B which interlace with similar hoops on an intermediate spindle C. All the spindles run in bearings and have rigidly-attached washers D to locate them axially.
