862,693. Shaft couplings universal joints. GELENKWELLENBAU G.m.b.H. Oct. 21, 1958 [Jan. 16, 1958], No. 33549/58. Class 80 (2). A driving-shaft 6 carries flanges 9, 7, to the latter of which is bonded a layer 11 of rubber in turn bonded to a flange 5, secured to the input member 2 of a universal joint having its output member 1 transmitting drive to a propeller or like shaft.. In the form shown, a flange 9a integral with the flange 9 and a flange 12 bolted to the input member 2 of the universal joint are centred relatively to each other by a liner 13 made from a resilient synthetic resin.
