Abstract
556,286. Gas cleaners. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. OF AUSTRALIA PROPRIETARY, Ltd. April 28, 1942, No. 5685. Convention date, July 1, 1941. [Class 23] A cleaner for producer gas to be used in an I.C. engine has a permanently open inlet 20 to the annular separating chamber 7 and a second inlet passage 16, controlled by a loaded flap valve 25, which is opened by the increased suction for heavy loads. The passage 16 has two ports 18, 32 leading to the separating chamber. The central outlet tube 10 for clean gas is perforated and the gas is discharged at 11. A plate 12 directs the gas to the tube 10 and forms a trap for the separated dust.
