Abstract

555,408. Kinematograph cameras ; stereoscopic processes. LEWIS. C. Nov. 13 1941. No. 14624. [Class 97 (i)] A kinematograph camera having a reflecting shutter and image-viewing system of the type described in Specification 540,671, is provided with a mirror system for the production of stereoscopic pairs of images arranged in alternation on a smgle-rank film, and with a mirror system enabling the operator to view the images stereoscopically. As shown, fixed mirrors 5, 6, and vertically reciprocating mirrors 1, 2, are arranged in front of the camera objective 3, and vertically reciprocating mirrors 15, 16, and fixed mirrors 13, 14 are arranged behind the lenses 11, 12 of the image-viewing system. The reciprocating mirrors are operated in synchronism with the shutter 9 &c., and may be replaced by a single mirror having an angular or rotary movement. The mirrors 5, 6 may be angularly adjusted simultaneously by rods 17 connecting cranks to a knob 18 which is rotatable and is also laterally movable in a slot, and the mirrors 13, 14 may be adjusted for inter-pupillary distance by a rod 19 having threads 20 of opposite pitches and engaging nuts 21.
