553,406. Salts of nitroaminoguanidine; explosives. STEVENS, A. H. (American Cyanamid Co.). April 21, 1941, No. 5146. [Class 2 (iii)] [Also in Group XXI] The lead, copper and barium salts of the pseudo acid of nitroaminoguan.idine, which have explosive properties, are prepared by reacting the respective metal hydroxide with nitroaminoguanidine in aqueous solution. Nitroaminoguanidine is prepared by adding nitroguanidine gradually to a solution of hydrazine sulphate in ammonium hydroxide. Examples are given.
