[Class 68 (ii)] In driving foundation piles and cylinders by rotating a screw head 10 by a capstan or other means, the interior of a mandrel cylinder or sheath 16 is kept sealed from the bore hole while a jet of water is supplied to the drilling face through holes 27 from a tube 32 through a valve 30, while liquid is discharged past a valve 34 by pressure air entering from a pipe 39 through holes 38 into pipe 36 thus creating an air lift. Specifications 332,036, [Class 68 (ii)], and 552,298 are referred to.
