[Class 38 (v)] In high-tension distributers particularly for use in engines at high altitudes, a rotor a has, associated with the main electrode c, or electrodes, an additional electrode m, connected with the main electrode by a high resistance, or a condenser o so disposed that when the principal electrode is in sparking position opposite an electrode d of the stator, the electrode m is opposite another which has just been passed. In another example the principal rotor electrode or electrodes only are used, but the stator electrodes are connected by a series of high resistances or condensers. If desired both a resistance and a condenser may be used in each case.
