Abstract

552,402. Porthole and like ventilators. ROWAN, D. Oct. 3, 1941, No. 12777. [Class 137] A cylindrical casing 1 is provided with overlapping baffles 2, 3, 4, having bent edges, and a semi-circular part 5 is extended to form a scoop adapted to deflect air through the baffles, the outer end of the scoop having an inclined nose plate 6. The ventilator is fitted from the interior, a flange resting against the porthole frame, and is secured by adjustable clamp plates 9, 10 which are pivoted to the base of the baffle plate 4, and allow of angular adjustment of the ventilator. Slots at the free ends of the clamp plates are engaged by the swing bolts of the port light.
