Abstract

551,441. Convertible cloak and tent covering. NYGREN, C. M. July 18, 1941, No. 9142. Convention date, Feb. 25. [Class, 20 (i)] A sheet of flexible material which can be used as a cape or a part of a tent is formed as a rectangle with triangular. shaped ends, the upper hem being provided with a neck aperture 1 and the lower hem, which is double, formed with integral ropes and eyelets so that, it can be joined to a similar sheet to form the ridge of a tent. Arm-holes covered by flaps 8 are provided in each cape, and pockets 21 to receive guy ropes 22 are also placed one on each side of the neck aperture. Further pockets 16, 17 are provided in the lower hem to receive ropes 18 which, when these hems are overlapped in adjacent sheets are threaded through eyes 15 to close the ridge of the tent. Opposing hooks and eyes 24, 25 are also provided in these hems for interengagement. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 7296/02, 12252/04 and 25324/06, [all in Class 20].
