[Class 146 (iii)] In an electric pen with an electromagnet having an armature 36 mounted on a resilient member 22 and carrying a stylus 28, the size of the air gap of the electromagnet is mechanically controlled. The magnet core 12 ends in a pole piece 19 having a threaded hole to receive a screw 40, the head of which limits the outward movement of member 22.
