[Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXXIV and XXXI] A pad for the plunger of the master cylinder of a hydraulic brake has a resilient articulated connection with the end of the plunger so that it may accommodate itself to the driver's foot. In one construction a soft rubber bush d is disposed between the pad a and the spherical end of the plunger c. The spherical end of the plunger may instead seat directly on the end of the recess in the pad, a rubber sleeve or a helical spring being arranged between the plunger and the side wall of the recess.
