Abstract

1511539 Master cylinders GIRLING Ltd 9 Sept 1976 [23 Sept 1975] 38897/75 Addition to 1472136 Heading F2F A twin master cylinder assembly has a transfer passage between the cylinders, containing a valve member 39 which is kept centralized by balls 43 when both cylinders operate, so that the pressures are equalized, and which closes the transfer passage when only one cylinder operates. The valve member 39 is mounted in an elastic sleeve 40 which expands into a recess 42 to allow fluid to pass the valve member. The two cylinders may be connected to brakes on opposite sides of an agricultural vehicle, to be used separately for steering and jointly for braking.
