Abstract

1,001,990. Master cylinders. H. TEVES, E. A.TEVES, M. TAUSERD [trading as ALFRED TEVES MASCHINEN-UND ARMATURENFABRIK KOMM. GES] May 8, 1963 [May 25, 1962], No. 18170/63. Heading F2F. A master cylinder for use in hydraulic motor vehicle brake systems has a piston head 9 displaceable on a piston body 8 and a gasket 10 controlling a pressure medium passage 17 which extends between the piston body and piston head to connect the master cylinder working chamber 4 to the reservoir 2 via feed passage 3 in the cylinder wall 1. A compressing spring 20 disposed in the chamber 4 is retained by a rigid element 23 between two cups 21, 22 and acts on the gasket 10. A spring 12 weaker than the spring 22 is disposed between the piston head and a shoulder 13 on the piston body.
