[Class 23] [Also in Groups XXXIV and XXIII] In precision-grinding and like machines, cooling lubricant from the grinding wheel or cutting tool and workpiece is separated from impurities in a cyclone separator. The oil may pass into a second separator and a settling chamber before passing to a pump for delivery to the grinding wheel. The oil from the wheel a travels along duct b to pipe c which is directed downwards along the wall of tank d. This tank has an axial and vertical delivery pipe leading to trough e and the inlet pipe f of a second tank g. Oil then passes by delivery pipe h and trough i to a settling chamber j and pump k for return to wheel a.
