[Also in Group XXIII] In a milling-machine in which oil or an oilcontaining emulsion is supplied through nozzle 3 to the cutter 2 and work 1, the oil fog is extracted through a suction opening 4 and pipe 7 by an exhauster 8, driven by an electric motor 9, and passes through pipe 10 and between the vertical plates 11 of an electric condenser. The oil deposited on the plates 11, drains into a tray 12 and the purified air leaves the machine at 13, an air inlet 5, which is preferably adjustable, being provided. The exhauster 8 may be on the outlet side of the condenser 11. A single oil-recovery apparatus may serve a group of machines which may be all of the same kind or mixed, e.g. grinding, polishing, milling &c. machines.
