Abstract

549,660. Ink-ribbon mechanism. COOPER, L. N. Oct. 18, 1941. No. 13426. [Class 100 (iv)] In a device of the kind described in Specification 243,539,[Class 100(iv)], for moistening an ink ribbon whilst in use on a typewriter or like machine, the supply roller consists of a perforated reservoir H enclosed by a pierced felt pad E and the transfer roller A has channels or scorings Q to pick up the ink from the transfer strip D of felt. The roller A is mounted by pins C on the cover J and base P, whilst the reservoir H is secured to the base by a bolt M which also secures the detachable clip N by which the device is attached to the machine. The two guides B are struck up out of the base P which carries the post K on which is mounted the lever F with arm G for moving the strip into or out of contact with the roller A. The ink is introduced into the reservoir H through an opening I in the cover J.
