Abstract

548,904. Two-part couplings ; plug boards. TRIGGS, W. W. (Lapco Soc. Anon.). Jan. 31, 1941, No. 3616. [Class 38 (i)] Interconnection of the wiring installation of an aircraft is effected by a junction box 1, the internal connections of which are brought out to multiple socket fittings to receive multiple plugs 2 attached to cables 3 leading to a source of current 4 and the various instruments 5, 6, 7. The box is built up of readily separable parts, a base 10 attached to a support, a polygonal wall 11 carrying the socket fittings, and a cover 12, all secured together by a stud 16 and nut 18. When the nut is removed the internal connections are accessible from both sides of the part 11.
