546,785. Pigment dispersions. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I., and MARTONE, T. A. Jan. 29, 1941, No. 1168. [Class 1 (i)] In flushing water-wet pigments in oil a watersoluble dispersing agent is added to the concentrated aqueous paste, and the paste is then treated to precipitate this agent either prior to or during the flushing. A suitable dispersing agent is the sodium salt of naphthalene-sulphonic acid-formaldehyde condensation product, which can be precipitated by means of a metal salt.
