546,570. Ball-and-float valves. TYDEMAN, G. April 3, 1941, No. 4448. [Class 135] A ball-and-float valve with means for adjusting the operative relation of the float and valve comprises a ball or float of non-ferrous metal with a tube B of non-ferrous metal passing through it away from its true axis and protruding beyond the outer surface of the float and being provided with two rows of staggered holes C adapted to receive a fixing pin D which passes through a hole or one of a series of holes in the end of the float arm remote from the fulcrum. By removing the fixing pin, rotating the float and replacing the fixing pin, the controlled level may be adjusted.
