Abstract

544,802. Loom shedding mechanism. MASCHINENFABRIK RUTI VORM. C. HONEGGER AKT.-GES. June 6, 1941, No. 7207. Convention date, July 26, 1940. [Class 142 (i)] A perforated endless band of paper &c., is fed at alternate picks by two endless chains 50 carrying pins 51 at intervals and passes down between the chains and a plate 33. The pins 51 engage the cords &c. and move in vertical notches in the plate 33. Pins 35, 37 mounted in the plate are connected to jacquard hooks 27, 28. Actuating slides 40, 42, provided with spring feeler pins are periodically operated by cams to bear on the paper band, and, if the feeler pins pass through the perforations, to actuate the corresponding pins 35 .. 37 and put the hooks in the path of lifting-knives 29, 30. Adjacent pairs of hooks 27, 28 are connected by chains 25 in which are suspended pulleys 20 attached to chains 17, wires 14, rockers 11, wires 9, chains 6 and push rods 5 by means of which shafts 1 are moved up in guide grids 3 against gravity and springs 4.
