Abstract

543,636. Plate heat-exchangers.. AKTTEBOLAGET SEPARATOR. Dec. 9, 1940, Nos. 17459 and 17460. Convention dates, Dec. 9, 1939 and Oct. 19, 1940. [Class 64 (iii)] Each thin pressed plate 1 of a heatexchanger is suspended from a rod 7 between fixed end plates by a bolt or other removable retaining member. A removable bolt 3, Fig. 1, resting on the rod 7 is engaged by bent over portions of the plate on each side of the rod. A locking member 8, Fig. 4, resting on the rod has end grooves engaging the edges of the plate recess receiving the rod, and projections 11 at the top of the plate rest on the locking member. The plate is raised to allow the locking member to be disengaged by lowering and turning it in the recess in the plate.
